I bought this 4 years ago when we first bought our current home. At first we just used Bluetooth because the router was too far away, but we ended up moving the router for other reasons and now the door connects to the WiFi making it easy to lock or unlock the door remotely or even from the car as we pull up.

August locks work as advertised, but there is some additional intelligence that could be integrated
It seems to me that the range for home/away mode is roughly 300' give or take. I just think it's really cool that I can lock and unlock my door remotely.
